Building Now, Upon This Rock was the campaign to build a church with a seating capacity of 1200. This campaign challenged us to pray, to seek God’s will, and to give sacrificially as we feel led by Him.
Fundraising Committee focuses on the campaign theme, Not Equal Gifts, but Equal Sacrifice where we have an understanding of our challenge together to do God’s will with faith and dedication.
Building Committee planned the design of the new church, expansion of Holy Cross Mission, and the infrastructure of St. Peter’s campus.
Finance Committee
Parish Finance Committee, an appointed advisory group to the pastor, is responsible for planning, providing, and supervising the financial affairs of the parish.
School Finance Committee is an advisory group to the principal and school board. It looks at the immediate and long term financial goals of the school.
Grounds Committee consists of parish members who share their expertise and time in planning the development and landscape of the church grounds.
Holy Cross Mission Pastoral Council coordinates all ministries based in Holy Cross Mission. This includes the grounds and offertory committees, ushers, Eucharistic ministers, and lectors.
Bazaar is the annual fall parish fundraiser that takes place the first weekend of October. This is largest event of the parish and we are always in need of people to assist. Be a part of the fun by attending, working, or chairing a booth.
School Fund Development
Endowment provides income to fund tuition for the needy at St. Peter’s Catholic School. Homes for the Holidays is the annual school fund raiser which funds the St. Peter’s Educational Endowment. Local designers decorate homes within a neighborhood community with holiday fare. The homes are them toured by visitors from the coastal community.
Grant Writers participate in researching and writing grants for means to provide other income resources for various ministries in our parish.
Offertory Counters compile the weekly offertory receipts.
Mail Crew is a group that meets to assemble all bulk mailings such as The Key to St. Peter’s newsletters and seasonal letters.
Church Vacuuming occurs on Monday and Friday mornings. This is an overlooked yet crucial ministry.
