Liturgy Committee

Lectors and Commentators proclaim the Word of the Lord at Mass. Parishioners desiring to be prepared and scheduled should call the church office.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist the priest in distribution of the Eucharist at Mass or to the homebound and sick. Application for training and commissioning can be made through the Parish.
Greeters welcome the community as they enter the church for Mass. A smile and kind words are all it takes to participate in this ministry.
Ushers accommodate the needs of the parishioners, assist with the preparation of gifts, pass out bulletins following worship, and help in preparing the church for the next Mass.
Sanctuary Environment is set and maintained through flowers and decoration. Participants in this group assist in creating a worshipping environment.
Altar Servers are boys and girls, ages 8-18, who are trained to assist the priest during the Mass celebration. There is always room for children to join this important ministry.
Altar Linens are washed and ironed on a monthly basis. Consider assisting on a rotating schedule.
Gift bearers present the gifts of bread and wine to the altar at each Mass. Families are scheduled from the parish roster.

Men's Prayer Group meets every Wednesday morning before the 7:00 am mass in the cafeteria to review the Gospel for the coming Sunday, to discuss its meaning in our lives, and to pray for special intentions. No secret skills or scholarly qualifications are required. All men are welcome, coffee and tea are available at 6:00 am, and discussion and prayer begin at 6:15 am.

Hispanic Mass occurs on Sunday afternoons. For this worship, the community assists the Priest with liturgy, music, and the Eucharist.

Weddings may be planned through the parish office six months prior to the wedding date. The couple should request an appointment with Fr. Cellini and a printed set of wedding guidelines from the parish office.

Pre-Marriage is required for couples in preparing for marriage. Members of our parish spend weekend evenings to deepen engaged couples’ relationships.

Funerals can be scheduled by your choice of funeral home contacting the church office or by family members calling the church office. Liturgy planning and family support is given.

Charismatic Prayer gathers to pray in the Spirit on Monday evenings in the church at 6:00pm.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered during the 10am Mass. Children, ages 4-11, are dismissed from the assembly with an adult leader to share the Word using a children’s lectionary. They rejoin their families during the Preparation of the Gifts. Leaders are invited to train for this ministry.

Nursery is available in the education wing of the Church during Sunday morning Masses for children four and under. It is also available during parish adult education. Volunteer caregivers, under the direction of our parish nursery supervisor, staff this important ministry. Help is always needed.

Mass Intentions may be scheduled in the church office.

Perpetual Adoration takes place at The Our Lady Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in the church. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is 24 hours a day. One-hour blocks are scheduled for praise and thanksgiving of our risen Lord.

Music enhances the Liturgy through song and praise. The choir joins to practice weekly and worship at the 10:00am Sunday Mass. Cantors and musicians are welcome to share their gifts with this group, also.
